Second in the series, this piece shows the front of the Lebanon Mine. This is the mine that can be toured if you ride the Georgetown Loop Narrow Guage Train. Digging began in 1871 and was one of 50 profitable mines in Georgetown still producing silver ore in 1885. In 1886 the drastic decline of silver prices resulted in it's closure by the end of the century. This piece is made to either sit on the mantle or to be hung on the wall. It is poured hydrastone and hand embellished and painted. It comes in a heavy box for shipping.
